Randy Marriner set out to make his pub a living room of the community and he's succeeded. Patrons appreciate the local ingredients and gatherings of the beer and cork clubs are heavily subscribed. The everyday menu of pub fare successfully bridges the gap between pretentiousness and pandering with fare like roasted quail and fish and chips with an Allagash beer batter. --Richard Gorelick
