Pleasant Plains Elementary was built in 1958. The Pleasant Plains Community extends from Oakleigh Road on the east Aigburth Road on the west north from Deanwood Road and south of Joppa Road. The population is economically diverse with families residing in individual homes townhomes and apartments. The mission of the school is to provide a multicultural environment that nurtures academic development and promotes life-long learning creativity and social responsibility in which all students will excel. Students work hard to follow the Panther Promise which is to be respectful responsible safe and prepared. The school has many opportunities for after school clubs and Talent Centers. Each year over 100 students participate in a school musical in which over 100 students participate the annual "Kick Punt Pass Competition" Reading Math and STEM Fair Nights and a Broadcast Studio that utilizes students on and off camera to run the daily broadcast are just few of the many events that help bring students parents staff and the community together for one great cause student achievement!
