Hale's Seafood still steams its crabs the same way Leroy Hale did in 1953. In fact you can even watch Hale's employees dump basketfuls of live crabs into the large drums to be steamed. In addition to the steamed crabs Hale's offers oysters soft shell crabs and shad roe in season along with shrimp fish lobsters and crab cakes. Everything at this carryout is available raw or you can have Hale's steam it or deep fry it for you.
