This 19th-century summer home was built by renowned British actor Junius Brutus Booth after he had fled England (and his family there) to settle in the U.S. with his mistress. It was the childhood home of both Edwin Booth one of the most famous actors of the 19th-century American stage and his younger brother John Wilkes Booth the assassin of Abraham Lincoln. The house is open for occasional tours; check the website for more information.
