As is the case with most franchise restaurants Silver Spring isn't doing any actual mining -- with the possible exception of your wallet. They try though with prefab wall decor and design gimmicks you'd expect from a chain. The appetizers most notably the crab pretzel are delicious but if you're craving a steak you can find better.
