Although Round House no longer performs in a round theatre the name remains. Round House now consists of three spaces; a 400-seat Bethesda theatre a 150-seat black box theatre in Silver Spring and an education center. Round House also has a strong education program with summer programs. New initiatives include the Literary Works Projects where classic and contemporary novels are re-imagined for the stage. Recent productions have included "Lord of the Flies" "A Prayer for Owen Meany" "The Chairs" and several world premieres. Round House's project called The Kitchen supports local artists by making the Silver Spring space available to them for free.
