This nationally known gourmet restaurant has quirky Victorian-inspired decor and imaginative menu items that make it less intimidating than most upscale restaurants. Breakfast brunch lunch and dinner are served on the porch terrace or the dining room. Lunch items include a tuna nicoise salad rock shrimp salad pita and the house specialty Jackson Street crab cakes. Dinner entrees include stuffed chicken or roasted veal breast pork chop mussels and baked salmon stuffed with shrimp. Desserts are homemade and there is a children's menu.

The restaurant is part of the Carroll Villa Hotel a 22-room bed-and-breakfast-style inn built in 1882.
