From small urban parks to great expanses of wilderness, America’s national parks have been called the best idea we’ve ever had. This year their chief steward, the National Park Service, turns 100. Join Baltimore Heritage for a discussion of how they grew from a small office in 1916 into today’s force for preserving natural and cultural heritage. Our speaker, Ms. Joy Beasley, is the deputy director for park programs and National Heritage Areas across the country.
