The Washington International Horse Show (WIHS), the nation's premier indoor metropolitan equestrian event, celebrates its 57th year in 2015. The show takes place each October at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., featuring show jumping, hunter and equitation competitions, plus special exhibitions, boutique shopping and hospitality. Highlights include a free-to-the-public Kids' Day, fun costume classes during Barn Night, the world class $125,000 President's Cup Grand Prix, the Puissance (high jump) and WIHS Equitation Finals, during which the country's top junior riders vie for the prestigious title. Tickets: On sale Aug. 14 at Ticketmaster, or can be purchased at Verizon Center before and during the show. Additional ticket information: General Admission from $10, VIP from $40. Tickets for Thursday-Saturday evening receptions at the skybox level are $150.
