As part of the Spring 2017 Jazz Festival, the UMBC Jazz Ensemble performs under the direction of Matthew Belzer, with special guest John Edward Hasse, author and Curator of American Music at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History. Preceding the performance, Dr. Hasse will offer a multimedia presentation, “The Life and Music of Duke Ellington.”
