MUSICIAN PORTRAYS LIFE IN WEST BALTIMORE THROUGH NEW JAZZ COMPOSITIONS As a 20 year resident and activist in west Baltimore’s Sandtown-Winchester and Upton neighborhoods, bass clarinetist and composer has spent the past year writing new music portraying life in the community, including last year’s unrest following the death of fellow community resident Freddie Gray. On September 9th he debuts the full works in concert at An Die Musik as part of a five day east coast tour.
