The Starvation Army Band is a 6-piece ensemble based in the Columbia/Baltimore area, specializing in Dixieland and Swing. Our performance venues have ranged from outdoor concerts, street festivals, parades, senior centers, private parties, and gala celebrations. During our performances, the band infuses historical context to enrich the listening experience. The personnel consists of Jerry Fleg, trumpet and leader, Brian Priebe on trombone and vocals, Bill Yakaitis on clarinet and tenor sax, Larry Haavik on piano, Tom Harwick on tuba and bass guitar, and Greg Mack on drums.
