Learn the telescope from the inside out. Assemble a replica of Galileo’s telescope and learn the history of this instrument so important to Mr. Banneker’s understanding of the heavens. Carl Olson, historian and librarian from Towson University, will speak and guide parent/child groups in the assembly and use of our telescope kits. (Grant requires the telescopes to stay at the museum) Children must be accompanied by a helpful adult.
