Dr. Brian Morrison will portray William J. Watkins Sr., one of the first African American educators in Baltimore during the early 19th century. Program includes a mock debate between Banneker and Thomas Jefferson, presented by the Milford Mill Academy Acting Ensemble, based on Banneker's 1791 letter of protest sent to Jefferson in response to his notes on Virginia.
