The winds of SONAR take center stage at Baltimore's newest concert venue: The War Memorial Arts Initiative. SONAR winds Melissa Wertheimer (flute), Jennifer Hughson (clarinet), Victoria Ritter (oboe), and Christopher Shiley (trumpet) will perform a program of solo and chamber works with guest artists and members of the audience. Composers featured on the program are Carlos Chavez, Peteris Vasks, Eric Dolphy, Elliott Carter, Frederic Rzewski, Eric Nathan, and Kamran Ince. Voted by Baltimore City Paper "Best Classical Group 2014", SONAR New Music Ensemble's members are all Peabody Institute alumni and faculty.
