Meet Phiona Mutesi and Robert Katende in person, the individuals behind the true story of a young chess prodigy from the slums of Uganda and her visionary coach. One day while searching for food, 9-year old Phiona meets Robert Katende. Katende is a war refugee turned missionary with an improbable dream: to empower kids in the Katwe slum through chess.
