Author Paul von Blum is a senior lecturer in African American Studies and Communications Studies at UCLA. He will discuss the contributions of Paul Robeson, a highly successful Renaissance figure in American history that still remains virtually unknown today by several educated Americans. Robeson was a well achieved scholar, lawyer, athlete, stage and screen actor, linguist, singer and civil rights and political activist.
