An Die Musik & Palookaville welcome Mas Leo back to Maryland for what will be an incredible night of music. Formerly from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, where he played in countless bands, Mas Leo has been living in Chester, Vermont for the past few years writing, playing and recording his distinctive brand of rock & roll. Playing songs from his 2014 album “A Thousand Screaming Whales” (don’t worry, no whales were harmed in the making of this record) as well as some new songs. Palookaville will have the honor of being his backup band as well as doing a set of their own music. http://www.masleomusic.com And speaking of Palookaville - They will be performing the songs they have been recording for their upcoming album, bringing in some surprise guest players, and they all may be wearing Lederhosen to add to that Oktoverfest vibe. Strike the lederhosen, but yes to the new material and special musical guests. Two bands, one night. Saturday, October 17 will be a homecoming you won’t want to miss. Doors at 7:30 p.m., Music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets: $12 in advance/$15 at door/$10 full-time students with ID _____________________________________ Palookaville It’s a town in your head where even the losers squeeze out a second chance. And it’s a band from where else but Baltimore, playing the best blues rock & roll twang songs a body has a right to hear. Stick around and listen - it only gets better. Palookaville is Chas Marsh, Glenn Workman, Howard Markman, & Jim Hannah. ___________________________________ Mas Leo On his earthy and often rambunctious songs, Leo rolls up his sleeves, conjures the spirits of Tom Petty and the Bottle Rockets (with a mischievous Jack White in the mix) and extends a hand in your direction. Anyone up for a little grit-n'-grin will enjoy this music.
