Elaine Eff, author and founding director of the Painted Screen Society of Baltimore, is having a discussion on the folk art of screen painting and her new book, The Painted Screens of Baltimore: an Urban Folk Art Revealed. Eff began visiting painters in East Baltimore as a student of folklore, and went on to make a career as Baltimore City and Maryland State Folklorist.
