N. Jay Jaffee, a one time art student of Sid Grossman at the Photo League School in New York City, beautifully captured the public sphere in his photography. Streets, signs, marketplaces, and, perhaps most importantly, people are captured in his photography in beautiful black-and-white images in a soft, intimate light. N. Jay Jaffee Photographs from Public to Personal, 1947-1997 will be exhibited at the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery from late January through March.
