The annual Memorial Day ceremony at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens salutes the men and women of the armed forces who have paid the highest price in defense of the United States of America. Keynote speaker will be Col. Tom Manion, father of 1st Lt. Travis Manion, a marine who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country in April 2007. Col. Tom Manion is the co-author of the book Brothers Forever, which tells the story of the enduring friendship between Travis and his Naval Academy roommate, Lt. (Seal) Brendan Looney. The patriotic ceremony which includes music, speeches, a wreath laying and 21-gun salute, will take place on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., in the Circle of the Immortals, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. The observance is free and open to the public.
