History buffs, patriots and common citizens alike are invited to commemorate our national holiday in a meaningful way at Lansdowne Christian Church (Hull Memorial), the only church in the country dedicated to the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). Every year since 1905 we’ve recognized veterans of domestic and foreign wars on the Sunday before the holiday. It’s not grand nor flashy but you won’t forget it. The service will be followed by refreshments and Civil War music on our patio.
