In conjunction with the exhibition Revolution of the Eye: Modern Art and the Birth of American Television, the CADVC presents a lecture by Lynn Spigel. Spigel is the Frances E. Willard Professor of Screen Cultures at the School of Communication at Northwestern University. She has written extensively on topics including post-war culture and popular media. Spigel was named a Guggenheim Fellow in 2012 to study the history of smart homes and digital technologies for everyday life.
