Join us as we welcome Mohammad Sabaaneh, the principal political cartoonist for the Palestinian Authority’s daily newspaper, Al-Hayat al-Jadida, and a former political prisoner in Israel. White And Black is Sabaaneh’s first book. Its 180 cartoons display his dazzling stylistic repertoire. They depict the “surreal” horrors of the policies Israel has enacted against the Palestinians and the dogged (though often tender) resilience with which Palestinians have met those policies.
