Mia Mask, an associate professor of film at Vassar College, teaches African-American cinema, documentary film history and special topics such as the horror film, and auteurs like Spike Lee. She is the author of Divas on Screen: Black Women in American Film and Contemporary Black American Cinema: Race, Gender and Sexuality at the Movies.
