The Latvian Song and Dance festival presents three documentaries chronicling rarely-explored corners of Latvian culture. “Vārpa” visits descendants of Latvian Baptists living in the Brazilian rainforest. “Trimda Dimd” is a series of shorts telling the stories of Latvian-American bands. “Ruch and Norie” introduces a young Japanese anthropology student and her 82 year old host in a nearly extinct Latvian community. Tickets will be available during the festival in the Renaissance Hotel.
