Joy on Fire is putting on a special performance Thursday, March 2, which will feature the premiere of their video for “Night of the Night Sticks,” filmed entirely in Baltimore. The lyrics to the song, by poet Brian Lampkin, were inspired by the protests in Baltimore after Freddie Gray’s arrest and subsequent death, and the video, directed by Baltimore filmmaker Kevin Liu, features the murals, streets, and street performers of the city, as well as the band itself at the Ynot Lot.
