Author and native of the Dominican Republic, Julia Alvarez, will read from her novel, In The Time of the Butterflies. The story is fictional account of Alvarez's of the lone surviving sister of the Mirable clan during the last days of Trujillo's in the Dominican Republic. The lecture will take place at Notre Dame's LeClerc Auditorium.
