Sung in Italian with English Surtitles.Rossini’s effervescent masterpiece always delights with its famous arias and scintillating ensembles. Figaro is Seville’s Jack-of-all-trades, and determined to win the beautiful Rosina for his client Count Almaviva. Rosina’s guardian, the doddering Dr. Bartolo, has his eye on Rosina for himself. High jinks ensue with mistaken identities, labyrinthine plot turns, and a terrifying tempest – but joy reigns supreme in the end!The production will star sensational young American baritone Steven LaBrie as Figaro and internationally renowned bel canto specialist Emily Fons as Rosina.The Concert Artists of Baltimore Orchestra will be conducted by talented Maestra Sara Jobin in a colorful and imaginative production designed byAllen Moyer for Minnesota Opera with stage direction by Jeffrey Buchman.
