Helping Other People through Empowerment Inc’s annual backpack giveaway was at risk of being cut this year due to budget cuts. However, with the outstanding efforts of the community, we were able to raise the funds through our Gofundme campaign. We will be hosting our 5th Annual Backpack Giveaway BBQ on August 26, 2017. This event will be free and open to the public. Each child in attendance will receive a backpack filled with school supplies. Food will be provided by Helping the Least of Them
