The JMM presents talk by photographer Marisa Scheinfeld. Her book, The Borscht Belt: Revisiting the Remains of America’s Jewish Vacationland, presents a view of Borscht Belt hotels & bungalow colonies, taking the viewer deep in the region. A Catskill native, Scheinfeld spent summers Ulster and Sullivan counties. At the JMM, Marisa will discuss the history of the & impact of the Borscht Belt on honeymooners, including those from her family. Her book will be available for purchase and signing.
