Ages 9 - 11. For kids entering 4th - 6th grades. How do magnets work? What makes electricity? Through exciting experiments, you’ll learn the answers to these questions and more. Work with other children to make a compass and electromagnet, build circuits with batteries and bulbs, and experience the power of static electricity. All children must be pre-registered to attend. A parent or guardian must come in person to fill out and sign the registration form for his/her child. Children must be able to attend all of the classes that week (July 13-16). GSK Science in the Summer™ is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science in partnership with community-based organizations. Only kids need to register. Registration begins 6/29.
