Ages 7 - 8. For kids entering 2nd and 3rd grade. How do magnets work? What makes electricity? Through exciting experiments, you’ll learn the answers to these questions and more. Work with other children to make a compass and electromagnet, build circuits with batteries and bulbs, and experience the power of static electricity. All children must be pre-registered to attend. A parent or guardian must come in person to fill out and sign the registration form for his/her child. Children must be able to attend all of the classes that week (July 13 - 16). GSK Science in the Summer™ is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science in partnership with community-based organizations. Only kids need to register. Registration begins 6/29.
