“Meeting Ground” highlights the creative work of some of the dance world’s most exciting artists, as well as Goucher’s own faculty. The program features ballet and modern works by guest artists Matthew Neenan, founder and artistic director of BalletX, and Ken Skrzesz, dancer, choreographer, teacher, and coordinator of fine arts for the Maryland State Department of Education. Also on the program will be an excerpt of Koresh Dance Company’s repertory Standing in Tears. This high-energy work is choreographed by the artistic director, Ronen Koresh. In addition, Goucher dancers will perform works by Goucher dance faculty, including Paganini Variations by Assistant Professor Iyun Ashani Harrison and Tempus Fugit by Professor and Dance Department Chair Amanda Thom Woodson. On Friday at 6:45 p.m. there also will be a discussion in Merrick Hall about the evening’s choreography by some of the artists.
