Founded in 2011 in Boston, Massachusetts, "Ghosts of Weimar" represents the collective efforts of several musicians with a shared passion for the art of cabaret. Performing throughout the Boston and Baltimore/DC areas, the ensemble specializes in the performance and reinterpretation of classic cabaret and jazz repertoire for a 21st century audience. Combining small ensemble jazz, theatre, and the occasional bit of standup comedy, the "Ghosts of Weimar" features the talents of soprano Kimberly Christie (Baltimore Concert Opera, Bel Cantanti Opera), trumpeter Joe Herrera (Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra), bassist Jonathan Davenport (Perseverance Jazz Band), pianist Alexandre Abdoulaev (Hanover Theatre, Boston University), and drummer Shawn Rardon (Boston University).
