As part of “Laying-by Time,” a broad survey of work by William Christenberry, MICA presents a panel discussion on the legacy of race and Southern history in Christenberry's work, with Judy Norrell, collector of Southern literature, art and history; Dr. DaMaris Hill, artist, writer, educator, social justice advocate; and Tanya Garcia, artist, community activist. Moderated by Dr. Deborah Willis, artist, curator and educator. The program is produced in partnership with Morgan State University.
