GBS and CIDP are rare, paralyzing and potentially catastrophic disorders of the peripheral nerves. The cause is unknown, the length of the illness unpredictable, and recovery can be a long process. October 8th is the “GBS/CIDP Walk and Roll”, at the National Monument. Tonya Oglesby-Charleston heads the MD/VA/DC support group chapter, part of a network established by the GBS-CIDP Foundation International to provide patients and families with educational materials and a helping hand.
