In "How to Die in Oregon," filmmaker Peter Richardson gently enters the lives of the terminally ill as they consider whether – and when – to end their lives by lethal overdose. Richardson examines both sides of this complex, emotionally charged issue. What emerges is a life-affirming, staggeringly powerful portrait of what it means to die with dignity. 11th District Delegate Shelly Hettleman will introduce the film, followed by a Q&A. The film is presented by Compassion & Choices Baltimore, an all-volunteer group of concerned men and women who are working to increase awareness about end-of-life choice and share information about pending legislation that will extend these options to the citizens of Maryland.
