Join The Children’s Home for one of Baltimore’s premier fundraisers! The chic and savory evening catered by Simply Elegant kicks off with a VIP reception featuring a signature cocktail, gourmet hors d'oeuvres and more! With “Creating Endless Possibilities” as the theme, the main event cocktail-style celebration continues throughout the museum’s unique vignettes with dinner and dessert stations complimented by wine and beer. Adding to the fun will be live music from The Groove Spot, strolling magic by Bill Gross, a photo booth and decorating pumpkins for the at-risk children and youth living at The Children’s Home. The event’s highlight is the live and silent auctions featuring a variety of special items, along with one-of-kind, original artwork created by The Children’s Home residents, who respond positively to art as an innovative approach to rebuilding their lives. Some of their creations include paintings on canvas, dishware and photography. Event proceeds will help The Children’s Home sustain quality programs and services for at-risk children, youth and their families. Established in 1863 as an orphanage for children abandoned due to the Civil War, The Children's Home is now recognized as one of Maryland’s premier providers of short- and long-term residential treatment care for Maryland youth, ages 13–21, who are victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment or family crisis and may be in need of structured and supervised care.
