A collaborative exhibition by current resident artists Amy Sherald, Christopher Kojzar, Tyler Hildebrand, Cameron Shojaei, Amanda J. Fiore, Kate MacKinnon, Tiffany C. Lange, and Paul Rucker. Curated by Amanda J. Fiore and Jeremy Stern. On view: February 6 – 20, 2016 Opening Reception: Saturday, February 6th, 6 – 8pm Each year the current resident artists at the Creative Alliance present their disparate practices under an agreed-upon theme. This year, the theme of collaboration and experimentation – closely aligned with the mission and values of the Creative Alliance – is explored by our artists and writers in the Amalie Rothschild Gallery. For this special project, each Resident responded to a line or paragraph of Fiore’s writing chosen randomly and anonymously from selections she provided. This collaboration allowed the other artists to respond in a manner unique to their own studio practices, including Fiore's. The artists also explore the nature of storytelling. After all the work is made, Fiore and Jeremy Stern, Exhibitions and Programs Manager, will then reassemble the deconstructed narrative in a new way.
