The 2016 Jane Harrison Speaker Series kicks off with Dr. Matthew Desmond, author of Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City. He will be speaking about his research into the impact of eviction on people in some of Milwaukee’s poorest neighborhoods. A diverse panel will bring the discussion home to Baltimore, where 7,000 families are evicted each year.
