Starting at 12pm-12:25pm: Please join Poe Baltimore, Inc., Maryland State Delegate, Keith E. Haynes and Baltimore City Councilman William “Pete” Welch of Baltimore’s 9th District during a brief dedication of the new “Edgar Allan Poe Place” ceremonial street sign. The event takes place at 203 N. Amity Street (21223) in the Poppleton neighborhood, and ample street parking is available. Following the ceremony, guests will be welcome to celebrate with light refreshments, and visit the Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum (normal entry fees will apply.) As well, from 11:30am to 3:30pm, the 2015 Edgar Award winning author of “Poe-Land”, J.W. Ocker and Baltimore author, David F. Gaylin of the newly released book, “Edgar Allan Poe’s Baltimore” will be present to sign their books and chat with visitors.
