in award-winning photographer Devin Allen and several of his literary peers for a discussion and book signing of his first book, A Beautiful Ghetto. On April 2015, Baltimore erupted in mass protests in response to the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody. Photographer Devin Allen’s work went viral and became iconic imagery of the event. His work quickly landed on the cover of Time magazine, making him one of the first amateur photographers to earn the distinction.
