The music and politics of the Motown era sizzle in the background of Detroit ’67. Siblings Chelle and Lank make ends meet by holding late-night basement parties, flying just under the radar of the increased police presence in the all-black neighborhood, until a battered white woman enters their lives and permanently changes the family dynamic.
