Dear Sylvia, official selection of the 2017 Capital City Film Festival, and finalist at the New York Film and TV Festival, screens at the beautiful Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. The film explores the effects of drama therapy on the aging mind, as well as the sadness and joy that comes from caring for the elderly. The film marks the final appearance of Sylvia Gassel, the Broadway and film actress who worked closely with Joseph Papp in the early days of Shakespeare in the Park.
