Madcap’s Peter and the Wolf is a contemporary telling of the classic drama with the wonderful music of Sergei Prokofiev. Set in an urban environment, we meet a Mafioso wolf in a pin-stripe suit, a spoiled teenage bird that lives to shop, a poor homeless duck that washes in the public fountain, a pickpocket cat who’s always prowling the streets and, of course, the lovable kid Peter. Children from the audience are chosen to play police officers. They eventually get their “man” (the Wolf), arrest him and, joined by the other characters, lead him away on a parade through the auditorium.
