Chris Mona's printmaking series "Out of this World" explores the collisions of pop culture and the natural world. Each lithograph, screen print or intaglio depicts a powerful woman, often a comedienne or actress, moving through an inhospitable landscape. By investigating the elasticities of time, figures marked by their era (Colonial Virginia to Powerhouse 1980's) are transported to other trajectories of time and space (From deep-time Earth to sulfuric Venus). Exhibit is on view Saturdays through July 1.
