Readings of poems and vignettes from Soheila Ghaussy’s collection, Cartographies of Loss , which explore perspectives of Afghanistan's women spanning the centuries. The readings will imagine the euphoria, yearning, suffering and grief of women throughout their lives and experience in a highly patriarchal society. Come early or stick around after to purchase handcrafted Afghan goods. The event will take place at the Graduate Auditorium in MICA’s Studio Center, 131 W North Avenue, Baltimore, MD 2121.
