Participants learn every aspect of rain barrel construction and installation while socializing with like-minded neighbors. Rain barrels are containers that collect and store rainwater for later use. Several rain barrels or one larger tank (known as a cistern) can be installed to create a rainwater harvesting system. Rain that is collected can be used for watering plants, but not for drinking.
