Celebrate the influence of Bob Marley on Bob’s birthday with a man who was there to see it all, the iconic singer and guitar player, Junior Marvin! Born in Jamaica, Junior Marvin moved to London as a child, and then spent stints as a working musician in London and in America, performing with the likes of blues Legend T-Bone Walker, and Ike & Tina Turner in the U.S., and with White Rabbit back in England . On February 14, 1977 (Valentine’s Day), Junior faced a serious dilemma when he was invited to join BOTH Stevie Wonder, and Bob Marley & The Wailers. He chose Bob and, well, the rest is history. “Exodus” was Junior’s first album with Marley & The Wailers, and it was voted “Best Album of the 20th Century” by Time Magazine. He is on all Bob Marley & The Wailers Albums/CDs since that time. Since Bob’s passing in 1981, Junior has continued to record with the The Wailers and can be be found on CDs with Burning Spear, Alpha Blondy, Bunny Wailer, Israel Vibrations, Culture, The Meditations, Beres Hammond, The Congos, O.A.R. and SOJA. Marvin is thrilled to be joining us in our annual fete celebrating Marley. Get ready to get down to many of the songs Junior Marvin helped make famous on record and in a live setting with Bob Marley. 8pm | $20, $17 mbrs, DOOR $23, $20 mbrs
